I went to charge my marcum battery. its been charging for almost a day and a half the charger still shows red the battery is hot but it seems to work fine. I tried it on my other marcum and it only takes about 2 hours would you say the battery is getting bad?

I would say it's your battery. Mine did the same thing. It just won't go to green, so I bought a new one at FF, and within a couple hours, it turned green. I'm going to use the old one as a back up, as it did still work really well.

If you search on here a lot of Marcum chargers won't turn green even after charging for days. I'm done with their poor chargers, after the LX7 charger smoked my battery last year this year its a new battery and I'm using a battery tender for a charger.

Obvious thought but I seem to always forget. If it's bad bud still works a bit and you plan on keeping it for a back up label it with a sharpie so 2 years from now you know which battery's are good and which are back ups. I had a frustrating Winter last year for a while because I had 2 good ones and 3 that were sketchy and I hadn't labeled them. Took some trial and error and time to sort the mess out. Seems I don't know the right was to dispose of them so they sit around and next thing your know all of them are sitting on the same shelf and I don't which is which. Mine is a user error problem.
