New Decoys You Carved and Painted

Put half a dozen Koi fish in the box last night. Decoy show is just a few weeks out. Needed to clear some space in the work room. Figured I'd share a few highlights. I got a little lazy and didn't take the phone out of the case so the colors don't pop like they do in real life but you get the idea.  

 

To say these are fun to make is an understatement. Each is 100% hand painted and as much as I say that each of my decoys is unique and no matter how hard I try I can't make any 2 the same. I really mean that on these ones. The goose has informed me that I will be making a few for my own collection over the summer.

How about gold fish!?!?!?

If I had to take only one decoy on the lake the orange and gold is going along. 

and my final try at crappies. I think the one with the gold undertones is getting close. Silver one.... I don't know... I still like that shape, just can't get the coloration the way I want it.

The last handfull finished up before the Alexandria show. Still a few that need to be finished and shipped yet before the end of the decoy season, but my big show push is finished up. 

walleye, sauger, a few sunfish, and a frog.
