Mid-Late Fall Bass fishing

Both are very different in the fall.. For largies look for green weeds, as the weeds start to die off in the fall, largies will seek out inside weed turns and green weed edges.. smallies tend to start to head towards deeper water, or at least stick to areas that have access to deeper water.

I too follow the remaining green weeds for largemouth from deep to shallow as they die off. As far as lures I pretty much only fish 3 in the fall. 1/2 oz. spinnerbait with a bigger single willow leaf blade, 3/8 oz. jig-n-craw(usually black/blue), and a lipless crankbait.

Good evening.

I fish the top of mid lake humps fishing on Rainy Lake with jigs and minnows for smallies but will get walleyes, northern and crappies depending on the area you fish. Always a lot of fun.

Good evening th64

This usually works from mid Sept to mid Oct depending on the fall temps. The time of day does not matter. I use my electronics to find fish then jig vertically. I give it a bit of time then move on until I find active fish. The nice thing about Rainy is you don't have to go far to find another piece of structure.
