bucketmouth64
Wondering if any of you have heard or use any home made windshield solutions that clean better than store bought ones? I saw one on facebook of vinegar/water to melt away ice from windows albeit from a spray bottle. Would home made solutions harm the vehicle's systems or other surfaces to any degree? highlife4me
Vinegar works great as a glass cleaner but I would not use it in the vehicles system. It would work great now, but in the middle of winter you will be S.O.L. as the feezing point of vinegar is only a few degrees lower than plain water. delcecchi
You could add a significant amount of alcohol ( isopropyl) to depress freezing point. By then you will spend enough to buy commercial fluid.
Capt. H (Ret.)
Exactly!!! For $1.50 a gallon at Wally Word it isn't worth messing with.
