Steel shot shell prices

I went out last weekend and picked up some steel shot for the upcoming season. I had a Gander Mountain certificate so stopped there first to check prices. A box of Blackcloud steel 3" was 27.95 and 2 3/4 was 24.95. I went across the street to Mills Fleet farm and the same boxes were 15.95 and 14.95. My buddy also wanted some beetle spins so he got them at Gander for 2.99 each. At Fleet Farm the same one was 1.39. If you are buying stuff at Gander you might be paying to much in my opinion. Just thought I would share. Also Fleet Farm had a much better selection for both shells and beetle spins.

I have been a gander fan since it was Burger Brothers. Since they took it private it has went down hill in my opinion.

Gander is a JOKE! They've had high prices on shells for a long time. You can't beat Rogers sporting goods prices online with free shipping and NO tax.

Gander doesn't even sell hunting clothing anymore either in store. I call it the north face outlet now. Complete waste of time to go there. L&M supply in cloquet has more to offer than gander mountain in duluth.

Don't worry they wont be around much longer. Their decision to cater to the beautiful people rather than the average outdoor sportsman is blowing up in their face.

I like Black Cloud but for the early goose season I don't bother with going out of my way to buy it. Bought 3 inch BB Fiocchi at good old Scheel's for $9.99 a box. I am betting it will work just fine this weekend. I'll let you know.

Two weeks ago FF has 3" Black Cloud for $21.99/box. Buy all you can get for $15/box and start selling them to your hunting buddies. Roger's Sporting Goods advertises that they have the lowest Black Cloud prices in the country when you buy them buy the case. Right now they are $19.49-$19.99/box with no tax and free shipping.

I don't shoot the gimmick stuff, but for you black cloud shooters here's a deal @ $130 a case for 3" 4's.

I shot Kents all year last year & really liked em. They definitely don't have the ko power of bc or Hypersonics, but I bought 5 or 6 cases of steel last year (took a lot of buddies hunting!) & $130/case is a lot easier to swallow than $220-$275/case. Probably gonna switch to bc this year though since I won't be doing nearly as much hunting.
