Camp Ripley 2014.

DNR web site has posted the news release that applications will be accepted for Camp Ripley starting

July 1st.

First hunt wed-thur Oct 15-16.

Second hunt sat-sun Oct 25-26.

Most encouraging news is they dropped hunter numbers to 2000 per season and bag limit down to one, with a bonus being able to be used for antlerless deer. A big step in the right direction to get this hunt back to what it once was.

I saw its $12 to apply did it go up again this year I thought it was $10 last year?

That is a bummer for me. My dad and I used to always hunt the Thursday Friday MEA weekend. Seeing I have classes on Tuesday and Thursday we will trying for the second hunt. O well only a few more years until we can start doing the the first hunt.

How much has the trophy potential dropped in the last 5 years?

I know people who hunted it and seen or taken some nice deer.

Last year was pretty rough for numbers of deer. I think we have a thread on the forum where we talked about it. I'll probably put in again for me and my dad.

Deer numbers, tracks, and any deer sign was way down last year for sure! Wolf sign was everywhere!
