Need help pricing 80s 14' lund and motor

Well I have a 1986 14' Lund with a console and a 25hp Evinrude. It has lights, bilge pump, trolilng motor, depth finder, etc.

I have stored it in my garage at the cabin the last 6 years or so. It hasn't been in the water. I'm looking to sell it but have no clue what to price it at. I've seen similar boats from $1000 to $2000+.

Should I sell it as is? Should I get it tuned up or is it not worth it at this point?

Thanks!

That sounds prety high to me, Im guessing closer to $1000 but old Lunds, or any Lunds, are hard to buy. They seem to get passed of to friends. I'm only a guesser though, not up on current prices.

I was thinking I'd ask $1500 as is and see what happens.

I'm telling you though, do a search on C L. Pricing is crazy!

Being able to tell a prospective buyer that it runs would make a difference. At least it would to me.

I am not sure you need a tune up, but it does need to run I would think. That is easy, new gas, new plugs, put on muffs and give her a spin. If it runs, it runs. No need to put in new impeller, just tell them they will likely need to.

If I can't see it run when I look at it, I would turn and walk away.

But it likely will run just fine with new gas and new plugs. I would bet the fuel pump (diaphragm) might have dried and cracked though. My old 25 hp Evinrude did, and it was a 96. PRetty easy to rebuild carb and fuel pump though, cost of parts was like $20 for carb and $20 for fuel pump. Each would take a rookie about and hour or two, and most of that is taking the darmed starter off, if you have starter, to get to carb.

Good luck, but I would guess you would get $1500 easy if floor is decent and it looks in good shape. Heck maybe even 2k in spring and it is running awesome.

14ft Lunds are my goal when looking to buy repair/redo,The older models with tiller and split 2nd seat are most expensive SSV models, then the console models, then the s model.I never pay more than $800.00 in the fall when they hit their lowest prices.I do 2-4 per year.No motor on the ones I like to buy.I am guessing in full running condition without rotted seats 2000-2500 is about the most you'll get.EVERYTHING needs working properly.

I found a guy locally and I'm going to get some prices from him. The boat is mint itself, just needs to be cleaned. I might have him paint it as well and get the motor running. I've added a fish finder and trolling motor. Might need new batteries.

DON'T Paint it!! People will ask why.If you say appearance they will still be suspicious and some will walk away.Let them paint it if they wish.

If the elec.motor isn't a bowmount dont bother you'll never recoup your costs,Even a bow mount unless is a low cost one.
