Youth possession of fish

I know the regulation book used to have a statement somewhere in it about this, but I can't find it in the 2014 book, so I was hoping someone can help me, does a child under 16 get to keep his own limit of fish, or does it get included with the adults? I know they used to be able to keep their own, but like I said, I can't find it this year in the book. Thanks in advance.

Nope, they are allowed to fish on their own if they'd like. Though for safety sake having others around is always a good idea.
that's cool one way to get the youth into it. I agree there should be an adult with for safety reasons.

I agree, I was just throwing it out there, as there are many kids these days need someone to hold their hand at every moment to keep from killing themselves or others. I fished a ton by myself when I was younger, even got a 16 foot lund with 25hp on my 15th birthday. I gutted it and replaced all the flooring and carpeting and rewired it that winter myself and many days that next summer my dad would drop me off at the landing in the morning, swing by on his lunch break and either pick me up if it was slow or let me fish until that evening. I loved it but a lot of common sense is required.

Used to be a couple kids would spend hours on the bay in front of our cabin fishing from a paddle boat. It was mostly them, and a bunch of guys fishing muskys. Those kids are grown up now.
