I have an electric Rapala knife that came with a converter so I can use it from a 12v battery or plug it into the electrical outlet. Work good. A friend of mine has the rechargeable battery Rapala and that also works good when you remember to charge the batteries!!!

I recently attended a fishing tournament banquet and won a Berkley knife with the rechargeable ION battery. I got to use it for the first time this week while at Red Lake. It slid through those walleyes and left a perfect fillet. The only thing I had to practice on was lifting the rib bones out. I looked it up on the net and it sell for about $100. At bit pricy, but it works great. I don't think I would want to have a knife with an electrical cord in a fishing cleaning house because of all the water being sprayed around during busy times. I can say that my fillet knives will be gathering some dust from now on.

Corded version in my opinion have more power. When we went up to Red Lake they had a fish cleaning area. Guy I went with had a cordless version but lost battery power mid way thru around 10-15 eyes.

Go corded (Mister twister) you will be happier if you have the option to run a cord.

edit - I see you already ordered it smile

Went to Leech last weekend and me and a buddy each caught our limit. Used my Rapala cordless for the first time. Man was that slick. Like a few mentioned would likely happen, I hacked up the first one or two until I got the hang of it. But once I did we got through that limit in no time.

Cordless or corded, those electric knives are the ticket.

1st review of the mister twister electric knife..........

fabulous, got to try it out on handful of crappie and a persona best pike today, definitely worked great and alot less waste done easier. had the pike done in no time which would have probably been a nightmare the old fashioned way. i was suprised however on how fast the handle/motor became quite warm....on my second fish.

I’ve bought 2 Mister Twister knifes, both didn’t last a year before the triggers broke. Bought a corded Rapala about 5 years ago and have never looked back.

My wife picked up a Mister twister at a garage sale a few years back, when I told her I didn’t want it she gave it to my grandson. When he used it he keep getting zapped by it. The shock was coming though the blades and into fish he was holding with his other hand.

You must be hard on equipment. I've had a MT for over 10 years and bought a new on recently because I thought I've read the gears get weak and besides, anything that lasts 10 years or more for $25 deserves a good retirement to hunting camp. My new one has 2013 written on it in magic marker because it's the only way I can tell the difference. No durability issues here.
