Reciprocating pump in live well? Help

Say every time I turn on my recip pump it blows the fuse, how do ya tell which one it is? As there are a few different pumps in the bottom of my boat

Simply...the one that doesn't turn on. Turn all the other pumps on and see which one doesn't come on.

The recirculation pump is the pump that either has a hose going from the bottom of the live well or is directly attached through it and has a hose running to the top

Depends on what kind of boat. On my lund, each livewell has a single pump. fresh water or recirculate is selected by a valve, I am pretty sure.

I'm with Caman on this.. turn the others on that don't blow a fuse and have someone listen to see which turns on.. eliminate.. then check your connections to make sure its not hooked up wrong.

I do too. One for each live well. Or do you have two pumps for one live well?

Not trying to be a smart **&^%%, here, but what kind of boat? Some have a pump for the live well, bait well. If you have a manual there should be a schematic showing the wiring , are all the pumps on the same fuse?

You may have to locate the pumps and disconnect them one at a time to find out.

Big live well in back , one up front and a bait well in back

Wow! About the only thing you can do is; locate the pumps and eliminate them til you find the bad one. Good luck.
