Need help identifying a feather

A friend of our family's asked me if I knew what bird this came from. I don't, but I'm hoping someone in here does. It could be a tail or wing feather, I imagine, and I don't know anything about where it came from. It's approximately 10-12 inches long. That's all I know... Anyone know what bird this thing comes from?

Canada goose? See a lot like that down here at Silver Lake, home of the thousand's of Canada's....hard to tell, though....Here's a good place to start.
