Everyone know the trick to getting ripe, soft avocados? My wife and I learned it at a sushi class of all places.

My guess was going to be to poke a hole in the bottom of the avocados prior to peeling.

Also, bury the pit from the avocado in the prepared guac, that helps if you are storing it.

Wouldn't think of making Guacamole without fresh chopped garlic, fresh cilantro and cumin powder. Skies the limit on other personal tastes. I've never tried it, but I think the egg in mayo would give the quac an unpleasant aftertaste.
