how much tackle do you have ?

As I've read this thread and thought about all the tackle I have including jigs and an ice fishing bag crammed full of different baits from years gone by, I wonder how many hours I would have to fish if I used each lure for 10 minutes. The only answer I could come up with was days and days and days. Anyone care to give your 10 minute estimate?

Ah, the age old question!

If you ask my wife, she will tell you that I have way too much tackle.

I personally have an addiction to fishing that I think I may need therapy for! I simply cannot walk into a sporting goods store/bait shop and not spend at least $15 or more. EVERY TIME! Replacing lost/broken lures, grabbing the "latest and greatest", and restocking terminal tackle.

The bad thing is figuring out what to bring along in the boat on a given day! My fishing buddy has a smaller boat and ADHD, so, it's really a crapshoot as to what we are going to do! You pack a cooler and two guys' stuff in there, and there's just not a whole lot of room for the two guys!

IMO, who cares how much you have or if you use it all. What really matters is that you are out there enjoying yourself!

Tunrevir & Eric's post sums it up for me! I have way too much tackle, but the shoes & purses that my wife has is just as bad if not worse! I went crankbait fishing in a friend's boat last year and brought some of my own crankbaits. He asked me why I had so many crankbaits? I said this is just a few of my favorites (a soft sided tackle box full). When I got back to the cabin I decided to count (bad idea) and I had over 350 and I have bought more since then! I do however buy a lot on sale which helps! I'm glad my wife doesn't go on this site!

2 years ago I stopped buying certain tackle that I seemed to have way too many and after I buy a jig I seemed to find it in my tackle bag still in the wrapping so I restricted my purchases. I haven't bought much since then but I still carry well over $500 in tackle in my back pack when I go fishing (replacement to me)...crazy to think how $5 here $3 there adds up after a few years!!! Oh well I could spend my money on worse things (but I also could spend my money on better things i.e. retirement someday)
