troutman
Can someone fill me in on the zerks fitting on the Tanaka powerhead,as far as frequency, type of grease, etc? Also, was I supposed to grease this thing new? I don't think I read anything about greasing it in the manual but, could have missed it. Surface Tension
The Tanaka engine and transmission is commercial grade and with that intended to be used day in and day out. Whether that be as a bulb planter or chucked up and use to bore wood. The manual doesn't specify much for greasing other then grease it according to use. Our app as a powerhead for the Nils auger isn't as intensive of use then in a commercial setting. Give it a couple shots a year with whatever is in your grease gun and call it good. It so happens my grease gun has waterproof wheel bearing grease in it so thats what gets used for everything.

RJMOEN
Can you over grease the thing? Stop when it starts squirting out of places? Thanks
