nofishfisherman
How where they packed?I double pack most of my meat in freezer paper and it stores well for a year without any freezer burn or loss of quality. Just found a pack of venison stew meat from the 2012 season in the back of the freezer and it looked as good as the day I packed it when I thawed it out last week. More importantly it tasted like it was packed yesterday.Since its only from October as long as it was packed at least reasonably well with some sort of cover I'm sure it will taste fine. Only major issue would probably be freezer burn. If that's the case the parts that are burned (dry/white looking) will be off texture and won't be very good. DonBo
I don't think they'd be very good, so if you want, I'll take them off your hands
tacklejunkie
I had them in freezer paper.I do see a couple areas on one breast that may have some burn. Well, I guess this is tonight's dinner.I just never gone this many months without eating the birds.
DonBo
Just cut off those bad spots and they'll be just fine.
nofishfisherman
Yep, just cut off the burned parts and you're good to go. The burned parts just won't be very good texture, otherwise not harmful in any way.
tacklejunkie
No issues. Wife and I had them for dinner with rice and veggies and wine.
BobT
Dang-it! I found this thread too late. I was thinking you could sent them to me and I'd let you know if they were good or not.
