Not sure what the issue is with them because going back to the same tree year after year the holes just grow over. Are they going to outlaw maple syrup taps now as well?

I think Permits are required to tap maple on public lands but the point is the little holes grow over so what is the harm?

I use them for hang hunting NE, MI and WI when I'm needing to have to move or setup for quick hunt only takes a few minutes and steps are in and take a little more time to hang the stand safer.

Still have a few stands that have screw in steps on my main properties.

NEXT SEASON - Mmmm, more steaks like the ones thawing for tomorrow's dinner. Over an inch thick of an entire cross cut of the hind quarter. Cooked no more than medium rare, finished with browned topping of blue cheese/panko crumbs and doused with red wine and shallot au jus.
