State record pike caught on video

This state record sized northern pike measured 45" long and had a 27.5" girth. As sized would beat the current Nebraska state record northern pike by over 2 lbs.

How many people who normally turn thier noses up at a pike would love to catch that monster. That is exactly why you should let the bigger ones go and keep the hammer handles!! What a beauty!!

Thats about my dream fish right there. And to successfully squeeze it through an 8" hole is quite impressive. Very nice to see a released record fish. I wish that happened more often.

It's not a he, but a she! And although an older fish, I doubt she was more than 12-15 years old. Pike usually grow quickly once they are able to eat the larger fish.
