Fish Trap canvas repair?

I snagged a pretty good hole 4"x6"in my Fish Trap any repair idea's?

All replies greatly appreciated.

I had a nice basket ball size hole made by mice a few years back in a one year old house. I got some blue canvas and used some of the "Tear Mender" stuff on all sides and it worked great without sawing!

they sell repair kits at wallyworld & FF in the fishing section. All it is just some patches & a rubber adhesive...otherwise go to Joanns fabrics & get some new canvas that you can custom cut & use some shoe goo works great!

Tear-Aid is great stuff but it will not fix holes.

It is best for tears.

I burned a hole in my Canvas Craft insulkated portable from a heater mishap. Called Canvas Craft and they sent me a piece large enough to repair the whole area and my wife sewed in the new piece, cannot even tell it was ever damaged.

I would guess that you could also do that with Fish Trap houses.

Getting material and using Tear Mender glue would also get the job done as mentioned above, used it before with great success.

Tear Mender has held great for years on my older Otter.

Tear mender and my local Auto Upholstery repair shop was the cheapest fix. Got the fabric for free it was even blue.

Thanks guys for all your replies. I really didn't feel like taking it all apart and taking it to a Canvas shop,or buying a replacement tent.

order this from Clam. the patches are 8" X 8" you get two blues and two grays. the blue/black kit is sold out. I would use a blue patch on each side of the hole.

She is busy making me new reatree AP bed matress pad camo cover's for the fishhouse so they match the curtain's. No time for tent repairs but she does do a great job sewing in a patch.
