Fleet Farm is clearing out all their Frabill Fluoro leaders.

Normally 2.99/2pk, now .99c

The 25lb leaders have held up very well over the years for pike.

They also have 15lb, and 8lb for eyes.

I used to tie my own, but every year they go on sale, so I just load up. The VMC hooks they use are darn good.

From what I calculate it is usually about $2 for a quick strike, and $1 for a single hook for me. 99 cents for two is a great deal no matter what. I would shy away from 25# test fluoro for pike. I've been bitten off a few times with 50#. Any line works just fine for any fish until you have one on worth catching. My 2 cents

thanks for the info. I call this old faithful. Works great for me. I have a swivel snap at the end of my black line that I hook to the leader. Nice and cheap.

lol. might look funny but the last 11 fish averaged 8 pounds. I did miss one today. grrrrrrrr ! lol

+1 on that. There are lots of people who foolishly spend money on things but hey it's their money. I would question more why someone would spend hundreds of dollars more just to have the "latest" model of something, rather than going after the guy who spent .99 on a leader...
