live4chrome
I have one of the frabil rectangular minnow coolers, but it runs off of d batteries and they only last a day or so, and they are not cheap. Anyone know of a 12 v adaptor or 12v bubbler on the market?

live4chrome
Right on. It gets old buying 12-20$ worth of shiners a day just to have to do it the next because they all went belly up.
Huey
Frabil sells a 120v bubbler. Costs about $15.It has the same size air hose as the battery operated pump. For keeping minnows overnight at home, you can connect the air hose from the 120v pump to the fitting on the outside of the minnow bucket and save your batteries. live4chrome
Frabil cooler with the battery bubbler. It's too small to keep emerald shiners alive for long, at home I have a wall plug in bubbler and I use a large bucket in the garage which works better but still doesn't keep the emeralds alive very long. I have no problems keeping any other species alive. Really the main reason I was looking for a 12v is the batteries for the portable minnow cooler are expensive and wasteful to throw out every other day while in the sleeper or on trips with out 110 power
gunner55
We have a "power bubbler" with a 10+(?) qt well insulated Igloo cooler. We use it in the boat & it works well unless we put too many shiners in it or it's real hot. Then we just change the water or throw some ice in it.Had to drill a hole in the cooler & we leave the stone with air line in it all the time. They aren't cheap(~$50).I think now you can get them in GR at L&M or Glenn's,it doesn't take too many batteries/dead shiners to pay for. Hawg
Why not just hot wire clips or a plug to the battery terminals if it 12 volt already?
Lusid
Do you guys feed your minnows any food to keep them alive?PS - i went to amzn and purchased a 7.00 120v bubbler. Hooked it up to one of those bubbler stones and off we went. From a scoop of minnows I think i've had 5 perish in a weeks time. Good enough in my book. Hawg
Put your minnows down a hole when your in your sleeper. Any mesh bait bag works great.
