jvm1
I have a neat story from this weekend too. This one came in the hole and I got a bit excited and threw too fast and missed badly...I was muttering and calling myself terrible things while I was pulling on my rope to get the spear back when she came back in. The spear was less than a foot from it as I was pulling it back up. My personal best so far, 35 inches. [Note from admin: Your post has been edited. Please read forum policy before posting again. bowhunt
I couldn't imagine seeing that Hawkeye, and to have them come into your new decoy would make it even better. Hopefully that big girl will come back in by herself next time.
Betterlabs
Hawkeye, Thanks for allowing me to make you a decoy! Great report on having 2 nice fish at your new decoy! Neighbor_guy
The latest batch. A lot of torn tape again. First a few small sunfish shapes...
Neighbor_guy
A red and white by request. I tried my best to keep it simple, but kept the torn tape edges...
Neighbor_guy
All three of these minnow shapes started as the same blank, but they sure ended up different. I never really know what I am going to end up with when I start.
Neighbor_guy
I wanted to try to have a small pike decoy, large pike decoy combination, but the large decoy failed to swim It happens once in a while. Funny google eyes on this one made me chuckle a bit. I got the paint ideas here...
Neighbor_guy
And the last one in this batch. I wanted some torn tape on all of them, so this one got some tape lines too.

Betterlabs
The pigs tail line tie is more for looks then making a big difference on how level the decoy sits!

Neighbor_guy
A few new ones from the last batch.... So far the bronze tone/deep yellow seems to be the biggest attention getter. All three swim real nice as well. I am getting better with those wooden tails, still need some fine tuning on that bit.

Neighbor_guy
Those are sweet. I like the flame job on the orange and white. As well as the work with the browns. "Natural" shades have done the best for me this season by far. Those should be good working decoys.
