Tri tronics

In the market to buy a new e-collar. Pretty set on buying a tri tronics. My question is if there's a big difference between the field 70 and the field 90 other than $50? Right now I have a cheap sport dog collar that doesn't work well. I run a wirehair for pheasants and grouse. He maybe goes out to the duck blind once or twice. Any advice from the tri tronics guys would be appreciated

Open up your search and look at Dogtra too. Former multi-time Tritronics owner here. Tritronics service was awesome but I used it way too frequently. Maybe things have improved in the last few years but having your collars go out in the middle of hunting season stinks.

As mentioned, the customer service from those folks at TriTronics is the best. And personally I have never had a problem with either collar I have, but I have not used them much either and seldom use them today. But they sure seem to be quality stuff and you can't beat the attitude and helpfulness of the company.

I've always been a TT guy, I've always had the flyway model. IDE have to look but I'm certain the 70 only has "constant" and no nick. I wouldn't want a collar without the nick function. I also bought a Dogtra as a back up and really like it.

one thin I am not excited about is the fact that TT was bought out by Garmin, and the direction there headed isn't good, they have redesigned a couple of their collars and I don't like either one.

I think when my TT needs replacing I'm going to seriously consider the Einstein, it's a us made product, very competitive priced, I know a couple of guys that are running them and they have been very happy.

I have own both tt and dogtra and i like them both. I currently have dogtra 2502 t&b ( 2dog ) and i really like. TT doesn't hang around from your neck but you can get a holster for them from your bet or use a carabeaner to hang it too. Either way you won't be disappointed in either one of them.
