bigtimeelectric
Hello, I am looking for a solution to the interference issue with my vex. It can be running by itself in the fish house transducer below ice whatever I have tried a bunch of scenarious, however no matter how many times I press the IR button there is always quite a bit of negative feedback on the screen. I am going to try a different transducer this weekend and see if that helps. Any input would be great! Thanks
ski_otter
sounds like the battery or transducer is shot
Corey Bechtold
Go to Vexilar's HSOforum for any tips or simply give the service department at (952)884-5291Good luck,Corey Bechtold

broman
Are your running a generator? Sometimes that can cause issues. Also, is your gain turned down?
Fred_Bear
My experience with transducers is once they go, they go. Meaning if it's a bad transducer then you get no readout at all.Your issues sound more battery related. When batteries get low, I'll get the same interference type readout that you are describing. ozzie
Battery is my guess...buy a new one and install and I bet ur problems will be solved
Hoey
Did this problem just recently begin to happen or has it been this way since it was new? If it just happened, then probably battery as mentioned before, transducer issue, or transducer connection is loose. If this since new, then you have a faulty transducer. I have been to Vexilar with both a 22 and a 20 to get the Tribeam replaced. Your test with another transducer that you know works will be a good test.
