Minnow Net For Ice Scoop

I know there are a few of you that use minnow nets to scoop the ice out of your hole. If I remember correctly the minnow nets you use are the style that you see the bait shops use for there bait. I have been looking on line, and can't find anyone that sells that style of net. Can anyone give me a lead on where I can find one of these? I am getting tired of using the scoop shovel and making a big mess.

I think I've seen similar ones at Walmart the one I use is smaller it's a frabil I think I paid $7 for it works good

Pool nets work better look at the big box store HD.

Ask your local bait store to order you one, FF carries them also along with the big box stores

I got mine at a garage sale, the guy was a recovering cat-o-holic and was giving up his bait barrels.

I was also going to try the swimming pool skimmer, but I'm not sure how it will hold up.

The big c store in Rogers also has them, but you will need to ask a brown shirt to get one out of the back.

I have been using the green aquarium nets for quite awhile now. Its surprising how fast you can clear a hole with those little nets. For being kind of flimsy, they hold up quite well.

Might as well I prefer to cut a lap pool size hole so I figured the net is fitting. Come on up for a swim.

They're actually called "Pond" nets

No joke. I use other slush scoopers too, but there have been many times all we use is the little green net. They are only a couple bucks at wally world, give it a try.

This is what I use as well. Works great and fits in decoy box really well.

I thought you were nuts on that net Sham but I bought one that's similar and it works great.

Just an update on this thread, I bought the large minnow net from the FF store. It has worked really well, I just have to make sure I don't scoop too much slush in a single scoop because it might bend it. Definitely has saved time from using the scoop shovel and gets a lot less water on the ice. So thanks for all the help.
