castmaster
Just wondering if anyone knows of a local source (Twin Cities area) for TurDucHen? Was thinking of giving it a try this year, but didnt realize its too late to order one unless I want to pay almost as much for shipping as the dang meat!Plus I guess Id rather support a local business if possible. castmaster
$99 for 10lb! Quite a bit more than many of the online places. Seen quite a few of them that were $59.99 or $69.965 for a 15lb.But apparently none of them ship after today, and by the time I tried to place an order it wouldnt have been processed in time to ship today. Dont need it the week after Thanksgiving!Going to keep doing some more looking. Maybe check with a couple butchers to see if they can order one.I will post if I find one and if so how it turns out. delcecchi
You might call Kowalski's, they are sort of an upscale grocery. They might have them.
nofishfisherman
Looks liek Kowalskis should have them as well. You could also get right down to business and make your own.
delcecchi
Be cheaper, but you better be good with a boning knife. Sounds like the kind of thing I would try when I was younger and more ambitious. Now there probably is a youtube video showing how to do it. I wonder if you are supposed to skin the duck and chicken? LABS4ME
I see Olson's Meat in Woodville WI handmakes them. Not sure of the price, but everything I buy there is outstanding! Only 1/2 hour east of the cities. Probably have it for Christmas if you call it in...Good Luck!Ken
