I bought a cycle country plow from atvgear dot com, for $416, included shipping. This was a complete package, poly blade, push tube, hardware, and electric lift for my Traxter. This is awesome,..I shopped around a lot for pricing on these and this price couldn't be beat. Looks like the are temp out of stock but should have more in a week. I would call them and place and order if you are interested because the tend to go fast once they have them in stock.

My tip is this: I wanted one for my driveway and long sidewalk, the guy talked me into a 60 incher and it's great for the driveway but no good for the sidewalk, I have to be super careful not to rip sod or shrubs. This morning I took out a bush accidently. I'll say this, it's great, I've plowed twice today (because it's a new toy) and it's fast and does a perfect job. I have it on a 450 Honda Foreman and it's a piece of cake, so pick up the proper size for your plowing needs.

I really like my Polaris plow system that I have on my 400 Sportsman. I have the county style blade with the quick releast mount/frame.

The mounting hardware does not decrease ground clearance.

To hook up the plow, I simply drive over the frame. The front of the plow frame then hooks up with a long pin into a siccors link, and the back of the frame goes through the ball hitch mount and pins in place.

I can do my plowing, drive into my garage, and have the whole plow and frame assembly disconnected from the machine in about 20 seconds. When I want to mount it up again, it takes maybe 30 seconds to hook up.

My dad has a older steel Cycle Country 48" plow used to plow a long road at that cabin. It's gotten a lot of use and abuse and works good.

I have a CMC(?) 60" steel plow on my ATV and it is very sweet for plowing my driveway. If you have a lot of area to plow, get the 60". If you want to plow sidewalks and city driveways, get the 48".

CD, that's CMP you're thinking of, I bet.

leechlake, a V-plow would've probably suited your needs better than a 60'-straight blade. You gave good advise on thinking how one is going to use the plow for.

I have a couple of plows on my POLARIS'S and I would say if your going to use them at home go with the 48" it works great on the sidewalks if you have some.I would go with the Polaris plow over the cycle country plow any day of the week! It's easyer to lift and the locking system on the lift is much safer then others. (sure would hate to have that plow fall when your motoring down the driveway to pick up the mail.) Also it much heaver then the Cycle country but cost more.
I have both and both units are good but I would have to say that the Polaris Plow is better. Good luck on your choice. D-Rod

I have a CMP 60" that works real well but I have a big driveway and rather make less passes than do the side walk besides the wife usually does that while I am plowing.I would recomend putting on a winch if you dont have one as it makes plowing a little easier and also good for other things

This year we finally purchased a ATV. My wife was the one after me to buy one. The clincher was the plow. Our driveway is 1/2 km long and a pain to blow out. We put on the 60" straight blade from Polaris and just love it. It angles and throws the snow plenty into the bush. It is on a 600 Sportsman and the hookup is like somebody said before so easy it is almost too simple. I do our driveway as well as my two neighbours it so quick, what used to be a 2 hr job is now like 20 minutes of FUN.

I will admit it took alittle getting used to the amount to drop the blade but after a couple of trys, no problem. Now all I have to wait for is SNOW.

If U were thinking of getting a plow go for it and U won't be sorry.
