Value of 06 trolling motor

delmuts

Question

Not finding much on line to try to determine the value of my 06 minnkota 24 v 80# 52 inch shaft with I-pilot.

A friend in interested but would like some ideas. Not much on line to help. Is half of new a good price? I know little about the motor as I just bought this boat this summer. I will be going to a cable foot control minn. this spring. Thanks Del

PD2 autopilot? I thought the PD2 were 70 lb. US2? US?

Looking at hsolist I might guess 250 to 300 for the motor. Is the ipilot v1 or v2? Maybe 250 for a v1 3something for a v2? That is just my guess, so like 500 for the whole thing if you are lucky? Depends on condition of course.

Not best time of year to sell either.

If I were going to give you an offer it would be in the $200 to $250 range. Of course it would depend on the general condition, what the overall usage was, and that the motor is going into it's 8th season. These motors tend to develop electronic board problems which cost over $200 to repair and that possibility would be in my mind when making any offer.

Check the FM classifieds, cee-list or Ewater sites for price comparisons .

I talked to a local dealer yesterday. Was told they call it auto pilot.( point the head, press the button on top then motor will hold that course) He could tell me everything about the different models, and was sure of what I had. Said value was 350 to 400. Thanks
