Had a bear attack my camera and where the ifr lights are the plastic cracked is it still okay to put it out. Rain could get in that's the only concern.

You are doomed unless you get it fixed somehow.

Any way for moisture to get inside, it will get inside.

Use it until it stops working, then replace it. I have had a few bears knock them down, break them, or just re adjust where it is aimed.

I'd just patch it up the best you can and put it back out.

Its either that or just throw it away now so you don't have much to lose.

If it's just the light area, put a peice of large clear packaging tape over it for now. The light will still strobe through it and it will be a lot more water proof.

Why don't you bend a piece of flashing or a wood cover to mount over the top of the box and then put it on the tree. You probably wont keep a driving rain off of it, but you will protect it from a lot. Make it plenty big too so it can deflect some of that driving precip. I could make something in under 5 mins real easy. Piece of 2*4 screwed to a piece of plywood and the whole thing screwed to the tree.
