spear prices?

hi all been a while i didnt spear much last year. most of my spearing equipment was stolen last year. a neighbor gave me one heck of a nice canvass spear house about 4x5. so being unsuccessful finding a spear at sales or sites can i get a spear for around $50 bucks i know most are $100 or more and i prefer a 5 tine any ideas on where to look etc

Check the Antique shops in your area. You can usually run into a spear or two when you are looking around. F-Farm will also have some spears when they get the ice fishing equipment out, which they are transitioning to now.

Should also mention that Jason and a few others here forge em. Im not sure what they get for a spear, but it may be worth while to send an email or two.

As it was said I forge spears, most are 7 tine but a 5 tines easier and a 6 tine what be the easiest, but my materails would be close to your budget. I have bought spears from a page that sounds like Meg's blist and e bay for around $50.00, and my brothers picking one up today that I found for 50.00 that is blacksmith made, so you can find good deals. Yes you can find them on the list sites for $40 to $100.

Just keep your eyes peeled on-line and at auction sales, garage sales, and swap meets.

there was one really nice looking spear in a rogers antique shop i think it was 60 bucks a couple weeks ago.
