Yanks are going to let him test the market, so that when nobody signs him, they can sign him for less. However, with the season pretty much over, the suspension talks for a-roid will get underway. Yanks secretly have to be hoping he's out all season so they can save $25 million.

if he is seriouly wants that kind of money there isnt a team out there that will give him near that, i think the couple 10 year contracts that are out there and seeing how horrible they are i bet he gets a 6 year

Just a quick update. Cubs had been mentioned as pretty much the only team that could afford Cano (aside from the yankees), but aren't contenders, so probably weren't in the running. However, now they are seriously interested in signing Joe Girardi as their manager. If that happens, I could really see the cubs going after Cano as well.
