Locator travel case

I am looking for a descent protective case for my humminbird locators. I have an 800 series and a 500 series. Any advice? Thanks.

I have both my 858 and 798 in a single case I got from Cabelas. it was in the gun case aisle, black plastic with foam inside. perfect fit and trimmed none of the foam. i store them in there for trailering and storage when not on lake. too much money to have banging around when trailering

Many years ago I bought an inexpensive plastic pistol case with egg foam from Gander Mtn. It has been large enough to accommodate my electronics as I have upgraded from model to model and provided all the protection required.

I have a 798si and it is small enough to fit in a padded lunch style insulated bag. The bag fits inside my side storage area. Cheap protection, but it works for me without taking up to much room.

That's what we use too.Just take the bracket off & it fits perfectly.

Pelican makes killer cases, but they are spendy. I use a small one to keep my camera in.

For my graph (1198) and ipilot remote I use a Seahorse case (SE710). It also has enough room for a few other little things like the charger and extra mapcards. They aren't quite as heavy duty as a Pelican, but they are not far behind (also waterproof, de-comp valve etc)

You won't be disapointed with either.
