Any ideas for a grill setup like this??

Has anyone done this on there deck or something like it? I am looking to get my grill off the deck and setup a small prep area. I would also like a place to store my 100 lb bucket that I store my charcoal in. I was thinking of using some concrete pavers cut diagonally as spacers to get the grill away from the heat. Would the pavers dissipate the heat enough to not need the asbestos fabric?

Ha! Forget the deer, let's talk about the grill. Moose, I don't know how to attach a pic to a PM so I will post it here. I don't have any close ups of the grill, but as I said, there is asbestos fabric stapled to the wood and metal spacers holding the grill away from the wood. Here is a different view of the grill from my phone. It is a normal Weber grill. The legs are still in the box.

That looks like a pretty nice and new setup. I'm sure that it is not asbestos but most likely a Fiberglass or Silica heat barrier fabric you are seeing.

Does the heat barrier fabric actually block the heat enough to not scorch the wood?

I have had an idea of a swing out style grill that would be on a post off set to one side that would swing out of the way when not in use, but I like what I see in the picture you have posted.

Do the ashes just fall down on the ground, or is one of those fancy webers with the can-like thing on the bottom? If stuff falls on ground, it there a fire hazard?
