No More Speed

Not really surprised because it was fairly well known what was going to happen after the switch to FS1.

Hopefully some of the motor sports stuff will trickle over to FS2 (previously Fuel TV).

Its strange that we already have Fox Sports. I can't imaging Fuel and Speed just slotting into the other programming without someone missing out? As long as AMA supercross stays on I will be ok.

Hopefully Fox will continue to have a show that covered all types of of racing events. There was no other place you could get all the news from all the 2 and 4 wheeled racing. I also enjoyed the interviews that Dave Despain conducted on the two shows he was on.

I think they will still have SX and Nascar for at least 2014 but we can all probably say goodbye to the other motorsports coverage. I don't see them able to coexist with college sports like basketball since Fox Sports 1 will be home to coverage of Big East college basketball etc.

The Fox Sports we had before FS1 took over SPEED's slot is a regional channel. FS1 is the national brand similar to ESPN, NBCSP, etc.

All those NASCAR themed shows are pretty much history now. Race Hub is on at a time that nobody can watch (if you have a job) and I believe the RaceDay program that led into the weekly race is only an hour now instead of two. I believe the Victory Lane show is sticking around (for now) but shows like Dave Despain are over.

Motorcross and stuff like that you might see on FOX Sports 2 (FUEL). Not sure how that is going to play out.

Like you said, get ready for more stick and ball coverage because that's what this channel is all about. It's too bad because we've got enough of those already and SPEED filled a niche for a sport that barely makes the back page. It was nice to be able to flip on SPEED and never hear a word about baseball or any other sport for that matter...but especially baseball. smile

Im ticked Wind Tunnel is gone. I loved that show. Talked about all motorsports, ones that I rarely watch, but it was interesting regardless. Dave Despain is a class act IMO. I knew it was probably going to die when they cut the show down to 30 minutes. Boo.

I'll miss some of the stuff on Speed but I must say I'm happy that ESPN is getting some competition. I'm so tired of the way ESPN over hypes the NBA, the NY Jets, and the Yankees. If I have to see another debate over who's better MJ or LBJ I'm going to puke. I hope Fox 1 takes off by showing highlights, and talking standings/stats.
