leech~~
It's kind of funny this time of year when checking out the auction sites that every old little dented up thing that floats, even little paddle boats is a "Duck Boat" For Sale! I think some of them could at least spring for a can of drab spray paint and make them look a little more like it!

luckydog25
Not to derail the topic, but anyone know of a good spray paint to use on aluminum? I have a 14 foot alumacraft flat bottom and a canoe that I do want to use for duck hunting this year.
TruthWalleyes
I think fleet farm has some decent camo paint.
Finlander
Yup, FF has a great selection of paint for your duck boat! Ask the dude in the paint shop which is best for your boat, he'll set you up good! I did my boat with paint from FF and it's lasted years so far! Also made stencils for camo out of cardboard! My boat is a 1976 Lund "Fish N Ski" that I turned into a real stable shooting duck boat! Super deep V hull makes it great for big water, and it can go in real shallow water no problem. I attached fast grass for a blind via conduit and bungee strap hooks attached to the conduit. I can disco dance inside there without the ducks seeing me! Love it!I'll post a pic later!Finlander!

I used 2 different products for priming one was to be used with aluminum the other was for everything. I haven't used either boat enough to tell if there was a difference, but I think prep is key if you actually want the paint to last.

dan z
How ironic, was just on the list and there's a free boat and motor no trailer. Its a monster but it would haul your decoys your buddies and his buddies decoys if gutted out correctly. Strap a reliable 25- 40 horse tiller on it and it'll be high fives from the 5 guys hunting with you!
Jared_P
This is funny...I just told a buddy to post his dingy on the list as a duck boat because it was that time of year... JP
