Selmer
I've got a 1988 or 89 (not sure which - no serial # plate) Mercury Classic 50 45 hp tiller with the Quicksilver tilt/trim, switch mounted on the port side at the stern, near the ignition switch on a 1989 Lund 16'3" Stinger. Motor works fine, solenoids work fine, switch is shot. I, of course, discovered this the night before our three day congregational youth and family fishing trip. So at 1 a.m. last Friday morning I wired in a rocker switch to run the tilt trim, bypassing the OEM switch to make it through the weekend. So, I need a new switch. One - where do I order a proper switch? Two - is it possible to get a foot-controlled switch with this system? Three - where do I find such items? This boat is new-to-me purchase and my first boat with tilt/trim, so the details are a bit new to me. Thanks for the help!Selmer

delcecchi
Is there any kind of part number on the old one?
boatfixer
Do a search for a product called "hot trim foot control".That's the foot switch you are wondering about. You will also likely find a standard trim switch at the same place.
Selmer
Would there be any problem wiring the Hot Trim Foot Switch into the existing Quicksilver wiring harness? This is a way cheaper option than the OEM part.
JosMN
Not a problem at all. Put one in mine right when I got the boat. Love it.
