Viszla breeders

Any suggestions as to where we can find a good breeder for Viszla's? We want this as a family dog but also as a hunting dog too. I want to get a known breeder. Also has anyone ever trained thier own Viszla or is it worth paying someone? Thanks.

I bought a Viszla from a breeder in Hutchinson about 6 years ago. I can't remember their name but you might be able to google them. My Viszla was a great dog and picked up on fetching and retrieving immediately. He was a very hard working dog that never lost energy, I was tired out walking before he ever was. The only thing I didn't like about him was he was very hyper and liked to bark alot. Unfortunately he was stolen from his kennel while I was at work one day so I never got to see his true potential since he was only about a year old. I replaced him with a Golder Setter and am very happy with him.

Dale Meyer is one of the best guys around and would talk to him hands down. I dont have a V but have ran with his dogs in HT and seen a lot of them. Great guy to

Google Dale Meier Pine Creek and his site will be at or near the top. You could also try the Twin Cities Vizsla Club. Call the breed secretary and tell him/her what you are looking for and who has litters coming.

I got my vizsla from Jill Hoffbeck at Cruisers Vizslas. She is based in the south Metro and she puts out great all around dogs. She is for sure worth talking to, if she doesn't have the exact dog you are looking for she will know who does. She is currently the Vice President of the Twin Cities Vizsla Club so she is very well connected to all the breeders in the area and should be able to help you find the right dog if she doesn't currently have a litter.

I got my V from Mira Vizslas near Fairchild, WI. Michel does a great job with the dogs and we are very happy with our 16 month old female. But like others have said, do some research and talk to some breeders/Twin cities club and you should be able to find a breeder that has a dog you are looking for.

Agreed. I've got a Vizsla from Dale and wanted another, but at time he didn't have an upcoming litter....He pointed me to another great breeder...I'll go to Dale first thing when it's time for another.

I've seen / been around some Michele's (Mira) Vizsla... If I didn't have such high regard for Dale Meier, she'd be at top of my list...beautiful, good "tempermented" V's. good luck...
