Really got windy but got a few pics. Forgot to spray so the last pic is what I took off during my tick check at home. The bull snake was about a 6 footer! Biggest I have ever seen.

Wow, you found all kinds of cool stuff at the refuge. That is by far the biggest bull snake I have ever seen in this part of the state. Plenty of those dirty little blood sucking ticks to go around this year, you even found a deer I have had more of those this year already than the last 3-4 years combined.

I actually picked a tick off my dog from my backyard! That is a first for me! Good variety of subjects.

ticks are really nuts this year. I said the heck with chasing a turkey a week ago. lotta deer ticks by Rockville where I hunt. sucks! time to get some permethrin I guess and treat a set of clothes for wandering into tick country.
