SnowShoe Rabbits

I seen over 25 snowshoes this last weekend up north. If any of you like eating these rabbits it seems they are on the peak end of their cycle which is normally when the grouse numbers are down. Normally we might see 5 or 6 for a long weekend when going fishing. Good Luck chasing some Rabbits!

Where? I use to hunt them a lot in the winter and yes they are good eating but gave it up for many years because I just don't see them any more? frown

The Grade Road east of crescent lake and other roads off the Arrowhead trail.

Seen some west of Crescent Lake on the Grade as well. When I was in college in ely it seemed if the snowshoe numbers were up in Grand Marais they were up in ely as well.
