Same here. I was leaning towards the PS4 but after XBOX back tracked on some of their earlier requirements I'm back on the fence again. I'm not sure I can hold out until they become available again without getting my COD fix. Probably just buy Ghosts for the 360 when it comes out and get a new console later.

I'm hoping they'll offer the One without the Kinect at a lower price, maybe after the holiday rush.

I am still leaning toward PS4, I don't want to pay for a camera I won't use. I always wait a year for them to work out the bugs and drop the price before I buy, so it could change depending on how things shake out. The only game I want to play that isn't going to be on PS4 (as of right now) is Titanfall (Q2 14'), however the rumor is that it will come to PS4, just on XBox first. Looking forward to playing The Order:1886 + Killzone:Shadowfall which are both exclusive to PS4.

Heck I still have 5 games I want to play before I move on to the next Gen consoles.

In a surprise move, Microsoft is planning to release an Xbox One without Kinect on June 9th. The new variant will be priced at $399, a figure that closes the $100 gap between the Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4. Despite early promises to developers and Xbox One owners that Kinect would ship with every console, it’s clear Microsoft is having to change course and listen to consumers. “We’ve also heard from people they just like to play games with a controller in their hands,” says Microsoft’s head of Xbox, Phil Spencer. “We’ll continue to innovate on Kinect, I think it’s an important differentiator for us, but I also know there are people out there that want to make the choice when they want to make it.” The $499 model with Kinect will continue to be sold, but Microsoft will also introduce a standalone Kinect sensor for Xbox One “later this fall.”

They really didn't have much of a choice after Sony undercut the price when the two consoles were released. Not to mention Microsoft had such a poor rollout with all the restrictions they wanted to push but then had to back pedal at the last minute. They really stepped in it.

I still might make the jump to PS4 even after this announcement but at least the Xbox option is back on the table again.

Lmit, I for some reason thought you bought a Xbox one already? I guess not. I havent jumped on either yet, and to be honest, I dont see a reason to, until my system dies, or they phase out the games. I dont see the One being that much better then the 360, or the PS4, being much better then the 3. Although, I havent played the PS4, more then just in a store yet, I have spent several hours on a One, and I wasnt overly impressed, and thought I needed to go out and blow $500, or even $400 on either.

No. Last year I planned on waiting until the next COD in 2014 before looking at a new console and hoped there would be some price cutting by then.

Maybe now Sony will cut their price to get back the upper-hand on MS again. grin

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
