Recommended Posts

I want to post a screen shot from my PC desktop. When I click 'enter an image' at the topic thread it asks me to enter a URL. Can't a photo from PC be added here does it have to be online?

If someone could provide diection here please I would appreciate it.

OK so this is H-Bird Palette 1 (red hardest, yellow next, green, white etc). So what is that thing? It can't be a rock because it would be red. Sand maybe but seems way to random for a sand dune like that. Any guesses?

While we're at it any graph geeks confident in the species of fish shown? Crappie? School of 11-15 inch Walleye?

* I did not fish because was on way in.

* I will SI it next time I am out perhaps.

It's funny how 2d sonar can make some objects look. Take a tree for example, looks like a tree on SI, and a Rock or big school of fish on 2d. Could be a 5 gallon pail, or anything for that matter.

Not enough info to determine fish type or even size. Was your chart speed matched to your boat speed? What is your sensitivity set at?

I'll assume this is a metro lake. Most likely sunfish or crappies. SI would tell you more.

Start using your SI and 2d side by side and you'll see how tough it can be to intrepret structure with 2d sonar.

I could be wrong here but it appears, based off the color spectrum on the right hand side of the screen, that yellow would be the strongest signal as opposed to red. If so id go with rock, sunk boat, or the pipeline idea. Probably crappies or panfish above.
