I checked out some of the new Jason Mitchell rods by Clam, honestly they are some nice sticks, I'm going to pick up a 6'4" jigging rod, and a 7'2" bottom bouncer, I played with them at Gander Mountain last week and was impressed! Just waiting for open water grin

Can anyone speak to how well they like their 8'3" smoothie? I am concerned that eventually it won't LOCK in the extended position and I will have a 6'4" rod....not a big deal, but if I wanted that I would just buy a 6'4" rod. Also, anyplace in the st. cloud area to put my hands on one??

The smoothie is the 6'9" rod. The 8'3" rod isn't considered a smoothie. I used my 8'3" for slip bobber's and casting crankbaits. Its a great rod. I wouldn't worry above it not locking into position.
