It depends on the race. Busch won about $550000 for winning the cup race this weekend but Jimmie "only" won $215000 at Martinsville. I'm guessing that includes contingency money too.

ya it also somehow depends on where you are in points sometime the thrid plsce guy makes more than the winner dont remember exactly how it works though

The driver doesn't get the purse the owner does and the driver gets a certain percentage of it depending on his contract with the owner.

The amount will very from 30%-- 45% depending on how good you are. The better the higher the Percentage.

Exactly. NASCAR is kinda funny in that unlike other sports, it isn't public what the drivers make. All you hear are estimates.
