My Winter Project

Scoot

I posted this in the LOW forum too, but I figured some of you muskie nuts might like the looks of this. It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. I suck at working with wood and making things like this, but this one turned out OK. The map is 57" x 57" with a 1"x5" knotty pine frame and plexiglass over the map. It's got all the topo of a Navionics chip- not perfect, but a pretty good topographical display of the entire Lake of the Woods. Importantly, I can see most of my favorit places to fish and camp pretty well and it'll provide me with hours of entertainment. I'm a map looker and I can stare and think and dream for hours looking at topo maps of lakes.

Haha I'm also a "map-looker". I've never been to LOW, but I could look at that thing all day! Just thinking of fishing around all those different coves and islands and bays gets me excited.
