I always buy my new decoys around this time of year. However, this year, most places have very few decoys selections available. Plus, the ones I do want are all on back order. Anyone know whats going on with this year? I have checked numerous web sites, and there is almost nil out there.

Cabelas had a sale on avery products a couple weeks ago but now no longer will be carrying there product. I know rogers still has some decent prices on avery decoys a long with a few other brands. Besides from that there isn't to many deals out there right now. What decoys were you looking for? Maybe someone else on here knows of a place where there is a good deal on them.

Thanks for the replies. I am not looking for deals. I try to get my decoys this time of year, so I know I'll have them for the season. I use mainly GHG, because I've had great experience with them. However, no one seems to have ANYTHING in stock. Not even mallard mags. Only place I can find anything is one site and they want 18 shipping for one box of decoys! I am not paying 18 bucks a box for shipping. Anyone know what's with the lack of stock out there, or anyplace that has stuff in stock? Looking for GHG mallard mags, shoveler, and the puddler pack with widgeon, blacks, and pins. Thanks!

I just check Mack's and they had GHG magnums in stock. I priced out 2 boxes and shipping was only $12. With free shipping over $125.

yeah this time of year the stock runs low and then fall they have sales and everything is in stock. You'd think you could find some deals this time of year but no so much.

I've heard Dakota decoys are improving on the hens for next year, so IMO that's worth the wait

Should've hit my garage sale, couldn't give away brand new dekes, I tried to steer the guys how about those decoys ? There isn't a darn duck within 100 miles of here and they'd grumble off with their just as grumpy wife lol.

Thanks for all the input. Found a outfit out of South Dakota that had everything on my list in stock. Prices rather near Rogers, and shipping wasn't that bad. Filled my order in 30 minutes, not bad so far.

Little update for anyone interested. Placed order with outfit in S.D. at around noon yesterday. Decoys showed up today at 9:30 this morning. I'm very impressed. Thanks for everyones help!

Check out this site...have used this site and SNL....tells you what to do, where to order from.

My oldest son makes them and sell them. Last year he made about 230 dozen - the ones he makes are better than whats described here.

We used some tangle free line once, and that is not good thing, it breaks while walking to spots and back, and you leave dekes hidden in the tall grass...

Bro made some using heavy HEAVY mono and the crimps he uses for muskie leaders. They see to work pretty well. I should prolly just buy some from walleye18s son
