The official sports show thread. Whos going/what did you get?

Who checked out the bo*b jigs? All jokes asides, BC there would be many, looks like a good concept probably more snag resistant than others. $2 each wasn't willing to try them out.

I bought six of'em b**b jigs at the show. Last year, they helped me get a northern when I was bottom fishing for carp (I released him promptly being that it was out of season). I just couldn't go to the show and not buy a few. That, and lets just say I have a great sense of humor.

Sadly I couldn't make the show this year so I can't speak for the NW show but going with what Nhamm said about Reeds, they seem to have great deals from my experience, I saved 35% on a new thermal hub this year and other misc at the ice show after some hagglin, and at last year's NW show we got some great deals as well on reels.

Yup, Reeds hooked me up with a new Compre rod and President reel. Saved about $35 over normal price.

I got a great deal on a St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass rod at Thorne Brothers.

Bait monkey bit me hard this year. Ended up getting a Lew's Tournament Pro and Dobyn's Champion 734 for around $320. Not bad but not a great deal

Nice looking rig there. I was looking at those dobyn's rods - super nice. They had a spinning rod with micro guides on it that I almost bought. Expensive though.

Picked up a new bouncer rod yesterday from Thorne. Got the 7' MHM Bounce n Troll Rod and paired it with a Currado 201G6. I paid around $220 for the combo.

I was like a kid in a candy store when it came to picking out new baits. I went hog wild on the B Fish N Tackle jigs and plastics. I was a little disappointed in the lack of Rapala lures that all of the dealers had for selection. They were all either the brand new super expensive baits or the grab box lures that everyone had already picked over.

All in all, it was another great NW Sports Show

I went and spent way too much money as usual. Loaded up on some more Abu Garcia products, picke up 1 verdict spinning rod 7m and one casting rod 7m. Also got a Orra spinning real and another REVO STX to go on the casting rod, great deals down there!!!

It was a lot busier than years past in my opinion.

I went down with my son Nick and he got the 4/5 deal on flicker shads. While he was waiting to pay I almost pulled the trigger on the Gary Loomis TFO rods 2/100.00 but didn't. I stopped and said hello to Deitz on our way through but 20% off, c'mon man I was pleasantly surprised to run into a former Flaker that works for Linders and talked tactics with him for a half an hour. Saw alot of great deals and talked with alot of great folks but the crowds kind of got to me and we left after a couple hours to go out ice fishing. Deitz, we didn't leave any fish for you but we had alot of fun catching.
