Coyote/Fox and Crows ?

Recommended Posts

I can't believe all the info on here about Predator hunting!! This is awesome. I want to start hunting Coyotes/Fox and Crows in the Elk River area. Is that area any good, we occasionally see Coyotes and Fox. I want to get a decent electronic caller.

Any caller suggetions?

Any Crow tips?

Any challenges/suggestions for the Elk River/Big Lake/Milaca Area?

Thanks!!

Lots of homework meaning asking permission to landowners for hunting and the crows seem to get educated very quickly around here.

Do some scouting and you should do pretty good, the state land seem to get hit pretty good but its still worth giving a shot.

Good Luck and let us know how you do.

Am I correct in reading the MN regs that coyotes may not be taken on WMAs after the last day of February? I read it several times and it states you can only take them from 09/01 until the last day of February. Any input would be nice. I have an email into the DNR also.

Thanks

I have a foxpro and calls the crows in very well. As for fox and coyotes I have called in one fox so far, but did not get a shot off. I hope that grayfox on here chimes in because he seems to have great success. There is pletty of coyotes around elk river area. Good luck with hunting.

Anyone know if you can shoot crows on WMAs right now?

Regs. book states you can hunt crows on a WMA during the open season for crow hunting, so you have until the 31st of March to hunt for the first 2013 crow season.
