Well, that race was kind of a snoozer. It reminded me of years ago before the COT where NASCAR came out with a rules package for the restrictor plate races to break up the pack and everyone just played follow the leader all race.

Nobody would drop to the bottom in fear of nobody helping, and with as difficult as it was to pass track position was everything. I'm guessing they'll rework a few things before the next one like a taller rear spoiler.

With all the attention of Danica on the pole it probably brought in a lot of new viewers, but the lack of racing probably turned a lot of those new viewers away again. I like NASCAR but I was even bored.

I thought the restrictor plate races with the "Car Of Tomorrow" were bad, but yesterday's race made me miss the two-car drafts of the last few years.

If it hadn't been for the Danica Patrick storyline the FOX crew would have had nothing to talk about for most of the race.

For NASCAR's sake and mine, I hope Talladega isn't 450 miles of single-file racing with no passing. Only the last ten laps or so yesterday were interesting to watch.

I am sad to admit I watched that "race". Extremely boring and I wouldn't even say the last ten laps were worth watching. I am guessing I won't tune into another plate race this season. Super speedways have become a waste of time, certainly not living up to the lore of yesteryear.

I got a kick out of Biffle when he said after the race, I backed up to Danica to maybe get a run on JJ but he also backed up with me. Smart move on JJ's part.

I missed the first half of the race.

But saw the second half and was not impressed.

NASCAR has a big problem on there hands and need to get some things figured out or they are going to keep lossing people.

Thre hours is alot of time to invest to watch the drivers play follow the leader.

Jr. should have started his run alittle sooner and I think he would have got to JJ.

NASCAR is quickly becoming very NBA like. No real competing until the last 5-10% of the race/game. Everyone gets along (for the most part) and they race for the points - not the win.

The guys racing for the win were those 1 car teams who got into the top 10.

I still say 250 miles would accomplish the same thing.

Yesterday's race was the worst I can remember by far, and I've watched them all since 1977. The FOX race announcers are stale at best, the GEN6 car is an abortion IMO, and you have to endure 5 hrs of commercials to boot. Drivers can't pass, the cars look awful, extremely boring to watch. NASCAR has submitted itself to the designs of corporate America and the networks 20 years ago and is reaping its rewards. I'll watch golf on Sundays from no on...
