nofishfisherman
This week we my brother in law cook dinner for a small group of us. He ended up putting a spin on traditional fried walleye that was amazing. The dish on the right is a homemade bacon pad thai and is topped with crispy tempura fried walleye. It was pretty unbelievable. Probably the best walleye I've ever had. The dish on the left is braised chicken in some sort of yellow curry sauce with a touch of coconut milk. I'm not entirely sure what the sauce was since he makes it from scratch. Its nice having a chef in the family, he has food skills that I can't even imagine. SkunkedAgain
The dish on the right is a homemade bacon pad thai and is topped with crispy tempura fried walleye. That looks nothing like the crappie pad thai I had in the mall food court today! nofishfisherman
All I have is a rough idea of what all went into it but no idea how it was actually done. The pad thai had the wider noodles (not sure exact name), thick cut bacon, egg, bok choy, bean sprouts, a few diced chilli peppers, and a homemade pad thai sauce (no idea whats in that). The walleye was coated in the tempura batter which I believe is basically a mix of corn starch, flour, salt, and I think he used a carbonated coconut water instead of water.I really wish i new what all went into it.
