WORM LOVERS choice-waxworms or butterworms ?

Never used butterworms,the only thing I know,they cost more and are a lot bigger.

It really depends on the amount they're feeding but I stay away until ice out is nearing. When they are feeding more aggresively.

Butterworms are 2-3 time bigger than waxworms in size. They are pinkish/orange in color. Usually ill find some along with waxworms at walmart in their frigid by outdoor department. If I can remember they are same price as the waxies. I have some for 2 wks now and had no luck with em' but probably it's not what they want since I tend to use plastics over live bait.

For crappies my bait that i use the most is eurolarvae.

Eurolarvae 4 me too. When you hook em right they snap back and forth like a fire hose. Gets the finicky ones most times. If they dont hit it then, get in the truck and go home.

Waxies are my go to bait , But i have caught crappies on butter worms.

It seems butter worms are more expensive and don't keep silly-me well.
