Craigums
What's the proper way to dispose of these. I've got a collection of empties sitting in the garage
Gophereyes
I've been able to take mine to the Carver County Environmental Center located in Chaska. I would think there would be something similar closer to you.

TruthWalleyes
Not sure if it is proper or not, but the garbage can seems to work fine for me.

h8go4s
Go outdoors and use a small screwdriver, nail or whatever to vent the tank. Then drill a hole in the bottom of the tank and put it in the recycling bin.
DRH1175
This is a good question. Seems so wrong to through them in the trash. Too bad there wasn't a place that could refill them with the same equipment as Coleman or Worthington does in the first place. I guess for now I will throw them in my work's steel recycle dumpster and hope for the best.
woodsmanmn
I use the .22 rifle method for venting them, then into the trash.
DonBo
Why not just leave them out on the ice like everyone else?

pulsar_nx
I attach a torch and open it up to vent all of the propane. The recycler alway pickes them up over here.
